Mercer wins Consulting Firm of the Year for Change Management Award in China

ercer Human Resource Consulting has received the "Consulting Firm of the Year for Change Management" Award from China STAFF, the only bilingual journal solely dedicated to human resource management in the PRC and Hong Kong, at its HR Service Providers' Awards.

The award, which is presented annually for the last eight years and enjoys an industry-wide reputation, recognizes Mercer's effective delivery of solutions and strategies to clients as demonstrated in the retention study for Leica.

Guo Xin, Worldwide Partner and Managing Director of Mercer in Greater China, said: "It's the second year in a row that Mercer has won this prestigious award, which reflects our thought leadership within the industry. This win also reflects the tremendous depth of Mercer's expertise in HR management. With the significant changes to the HR landscape taking place in China, our clients have a huge pool of local experience to draw upon."

Jack Lim, Shanghai Office Head and Human Capital Advisory Services (HCAS) Business Development Leader, Greater China, received the award on the behalf of Mercer and delivered a speech on talent retention, which was well received by more than 120 HR senior managers and top business executives.

Mercer started its operation in Greater China in the 1970s and first established presence in China Mainland in 1995 in Beijing. It now has eight offices serving the Greater China region in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Shenzhen, Dalian, Hong Kong and Taiwan. (Institute of Certified Consultants UN - ICCUN)

The Award is decided through extensive consultation with China STAFF readers and HR professionals in the region. In the first phase of evaluation process, both of them were asked to nominate candidates for this category. Upon nomination, nominees were asked their assent. Once submitted, all entries were assessed by two panels of judges appointed by China STAFF, one for each Award in Hong Kong and China. Some judges were "HR Manager of the Year" winners from previous China STAFF HR Awards, while others were from media or HR associations.

The judging criteria include: Demonstrate excellence in Consulting Firm for HR Strategy & Management; demonstrate effective solutions and strategies for clients; and demonstrate innovation and creative development of solutions.
